Blues Today was an original concept devised by Pete Thelen and Mike King. The idea was to gather musicians in the studio to record original blues compositions written by Thelen. The idea was a success! Thelen has written and produced three Blues Today volumes with a fourth in the works.
Some artists featured on the Blues Today volumes are Lester Chambers, Chico Chism, Linda Moss, Charlie Prazma, Vince Micko, Rena Haus, Mike King, Wayne Bruno, Carey Slade and songwriter Pete Thelen.
